Who We Are |
Like so many things, Cailinn’s Creations was started because a parent saw the need for it.
My daughter, Cailinn (my inspiration to create), was born in 2008 and was diagnosed with a very rare genetic condition. With this genetic condition came a slew of medical complications, including Sensory Processing Disorders In 2010, my daughter’s Occupational Therapist and her Physical Therapist both suggested the use of Weighted Therapy. Like so many people, I asked, “What exactly is that?” They explained how the deep pressure input could help my daughter self soothe and also help her focus while working on fine motor activities. My curiosity lead me to research, which inspired me to try making my own. I went through several designs trying to create something that was safe, effective, and enjoyed by those who used it. Our friends all started asking if I could make one for their children (and for them). And the next thing you know, Cailinn’s Creations was born. I take a great deal of pride in each item that I make. I also understand that everyone is unique and so are their needs, which is why every item is custom made for the individual. Every product has been rigorously tested for safety, durability, and comfort. I feel confident that Cailinn’s Creations’ products are quality products.
